As the Monsoon season gets into full gear, so does the sailing action that is about to descend upon Kuala Terengganu in Malaysia’s North East. The Monsoon Cup is here.
The prestigious sailing event is now in its sixth year, and represents the final leg of the WMRT (World Match Racing Tour) which has seen this professional sailing event battle the waves from Portugal, to the Bahamas.
The Cup which has earned the coveted title of ‘Best Overall Event’ at the World Match Racing Tour Awards, three times in 2007, 2009 and 2010 has ignited a growing interest in match racing and yachting among its contemporaries in Asia. The tie-up with Pulse Group PLC, Asia’s leading Digital Research Agency will provide the event with valuable insights into the perceptions and attitudes of the general population and stakeholders towards sailing as a competitive sport.
